Deone Payne-James is an integrative counsellor working in private practice, primary and higher education.
She works with individuals, parents, teachers, children/young people and has extensive experience of working therapeutically with male clients.
A bit about me... I am registered with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and subscribe to their code of Good Practice and Ethics. I use a combination of complimentary psychological theories to inform my work and believe that my relationship with clients is the key to therapy.
I have worked in education, mentoring and with men for over 20 years and currently work in private practice, schools and a music and dance conservatoire.
What to expect if you contact me... Following your enquiry, Iʼll make contact to arrange an initial session for us to meet in person and decide if weʼre comfortable working together. Iʼll explain a bit about how I work and you can ask any questions you may have. This session helps us to establish in more detail your reasons for therapy and what outcomes youʼre hoping for. In essence, itʼs to see if weʼre a good fit and to assess if I can help. If weʼre happy to move forward, we would book further sessions on a 6/8/12 weekly cycle or an open-ended basis, usually on the same day and time each week.
Next steps... If youʼd like to arrange an initial session, please get in touch.
