Lisa Langley-Metcalfe

Lisa is a fully qualified specialist child and adolescent counsellor and a professional member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy

Lisa provides one-to-one counselling to children and young people aged 4 - 14 years old.  Integrating a variety of therapeutic approaches - person-centred therapeutic play, child development, attachment, interpersonal neurobiology, psychoanalytic and systemic theory with the latest research on the developing mind, brain, and relationships enables her to better understand and meet the needs of children who experience emotional and behavioural challenges.

By providing a safe, sensitive, regular, creative, and confidential space Lisa can facilitate your child to explore, process and integrate their feelings, memories, and experiences so that they can make sense of their perceptions, responses, emotions, and bodily sensations. In this way, children and young people can feel less confused, chaotic, rigid, and overwhelmed by emotions and meet life's challenges with more responsiveness.
