Nick Rawling

Nick is an integrative psychotherapist working with adults

As a therapist, my goal is to create a safe and supportive space where you can feel comfortable exploring your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I understand that seeking therapy can be a vulnerable and challenging step, and I approach each client with empathy, compassion, and respect.

My approach to therapy is integrative, drawing from a variety of evidence-based modalities such as cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based therapies and psychodynamic therapy. I believe that therapy should be tailored to meet your unique needs, and I will work collaboratively with you to identify your goals and develop a treatment plan that fits your specific needs and preferences.

I have experience working with a range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, self-esteem issues, and life transitions. I value the importance of cultural humility and recognise the impact of systemic oppression on mental health.

Above all, my priority is to create a therapeutic relationship built on trust, authenticity, and empathy. I strive to help you feel seen, heard, and validated, and to provide you with the tools and insights you need to live a more fulfilling and meaningful life.

About Me:

Being a psychotherapist is a third career for me after working in theatre and performance, and a subsequent career as a teacher and lecturer of the performing arts.

As an integrative therapist, I am able to use different therapeutic approaches to suit each client rather than just following one approach with everyone.

I trained at The Minster Centre and CPPD Counselling School from which I have an Advanced Diploma in Humanistic Integrative Counselling.

I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and follow the Ethical Framework of the BACP that protects both clients and therapists.
