Siobhan Maguire-Swartz

Siobhan is a registered Psychotherapist and Psychotherapeutic Counsellor (MBACP) who works humanistically from an integrative approach.

Whatever your reasons for seeking therapy, I am here to listen and support you. I will focus on you with care, compassion, empathy and a non-shaming approach.

I am a friendly, down-to-earth, genuine person. I create a warm, kind, safe space to allow you to open up at your own pace.  I understand how nerve-wracking starting therapy can be, I offer patience and empathy to support you in sharing your experiences and feelings in your own time.

I will help you to explore anything that is impacting your everyday life, functioning and wellbeing, both past and present issues that may be holding you back and causing difficulties.

I don’t diagnose, I don’t label, I work from a holistic perspective.

Originally from Manchester, my background is in the Arts and Education. I worked as a professional contemporary dancer, choreographer and teacher for nearly 20 years.

My personal experience of inter-cultural relationships and my professional experience of working within Black, Asian and Ethnic Minority Communities means I'm confident in offering an authentic anti-racist approach. I do not shy away from working with clients around the challenging issues of race and racism and the difficulties of conflicting cultural or religious identities.

I strive to create an inclusive environment and welcome people of all nationalities, races, religions, cultures, ages, genders, disabilities, those from the LGBTQ+ community and people with neurodivergencies. Please note unfortunately there is no step-free access to the treatment rooms at South London Therapy Group.

I offer face to face sessions in Peckham on Tuesdays, contact me for more information…
